Our Process: What to Expect with a Full Conversion Van Project
1. Your Inquiry and Free Estimate
We will typically begin with an introductory call where you describe what you have in mind.
We will ask and answer your questions, and get a general scope of your conversion.
We will usually provide a ballpark estimate of the work to be done. If we’re all in agreement about the ballpark estimate and the scope, then we move onto a detailed estimate.

2. Detailed Estimate Meeting
Our next call or meeting will involve a longer conversation where we cover every part and detail of your project. After this discussion, we will be able to price out your build and provide you with a detailed written estimate. Pricing a large project (like a custom camper van) requires several hours of work to capture all the details and research the components. To cover our costs, we charge $150 for a detailed estimate. If you move forward, however, this payment will be deducted from the cost of your project.
3. Design Meeting
Our customers typically love this part! Weeks before your build starts, we will meet with you to go over design details. We’ll need to decide exact colors and finishes, finalize the layout and cabinetry, and add or remove components that you’ve dreamed up since our last chat.
Following this meeting we’ll be able to provide you with a floor plan and 3D renderings of your build. Then we’ll finalize the estimate and invoice for parts and materials (typically 50% of the total).
4. Start Date and Build Updates
Depending on the specifics of your project, on average it takes us 8-12 weeks customized vans to be completed. You’ll need to deliver the van to us a week before your build start date. We like to maintain close communication throughout your build with periodic updates and photos so you know what’s happening. Four to six weeks into your project you will get an invoice for 50% of the remaining balance. As completion of your project draws near, we will work with you to schedule your van pickup.
5. Delivery of Your Completed Conversion Van
When your van is done, we will notify you and schedule a pickup time. We include a detailed walk-through, especially with a camper van conversion, so you understand how all your systems work and can ask any questions. Then it’s time for you to celebrate!
