About North Bay Adventure Vans: Premier Van Upfitters
North Bay Adventure Vans was founded by Gerardo Cortes in 2016. Originally focusing on installing sound systems for vehicles, Gerardo soon expanded the company and converted the first of many stock vans into fully customized camper/adventure vans.
In 2020, the business name was changed to North Bay Adventure Vans. Today the company provides a full range of van upfitting and customization services, including camper vans and work vans with interior/exterior racking and accessories.

Our goal is to provide van conversion capabilities that no other company in our area offers. We’ve invested in Laser Cutting and Engraving machines, and a CNC Router. With our machinery, we are also able to offer precision work and the best quality details for our customers.
Today, we do every aspect of luxury van conversions: installation of windows and vent fans, sound dampening and insulation, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, solar systems, side-steps, ladders and roof racks, and beautifully finished interiors.
About the Owner
As a youth, Gerardo was fascinated with electronics and everything that had to do with creativity. Raised in a low-income household was a blessing, since it prompted him to start building his own toys using creativity. His imagination seemed to have no limits as he created toys with anything and everything he could find: little rocks, branches, pencils, paper, etc.
Gerardo was fortunate to attend a technical high school where he learned a lot about electronics and was able to earn an Electronic Technician diploma. After high school, he got a job at an automotive audio/video business. This turned out to be the best place for him to learn automotive electronics as a car audio installer/technician/fabricator.
He fell in love with the creativity and the technical challenges of installation in a wide variety of vehicles. During this time, he also got into Electronic Engineering school, and expanded his knowledge from programming to creating circuits.
